Strategic Structuring & Special Situations

Strategic Structuring & Special Situations
Some business decisions do not fit neatly within a single corporate, tax or regulatory issue.
We advise on complex and non-standard situations such as restructurings, ownership changes, entry into new markets, reorganizations and changes to existing international operations. We assess the implications of the proposed change, identify issues that need to be addressed and help determine a practical way forward.
Entering a new market or making a major strategic change may also require a broader assessment of the risks involved.
As part of our Market Entry & Risk Assessment work, we evaluate the regulatory, political, tax, currency, banking, labor, security and operational considerations that may affect a proposed market or activity. For restructurings and existing operations, we may also assist with reorganizing entities, changing ownership or intercompany arrangements, separating or combining business activities, or addressing structures that no longer meet the needs of the business. Where local knowledge is required, we work with legal, tax and other specialists in the relevant jurisdiction.
We stay involved through implementation, helping clients execute the required corporate, tax, financial and operational changes and working with the relevant professional advisors where specialized expertise is needed.
